BEECH HILL AVENUE

LOCATION:
Hadley Wood, Barnet.
CLIENT:
Private client.
PROJECT DESCRIPTION:
The site is located in an exclusive residential area of Hadley Wood and consisted of an existing 1930’s detached house on generous plot. The local area has undergone a number of changes over time with a number of former homes being replaced with more modern executive style family homes. The clients brief was to create a modern Tudor style large detached 9,000-10,000 sqft family home which would suit its surroundings. The property also had to meet exceptional thermal and energy efficiency requirements to meet local planning requirements and therefore the design included PV panels on the roof and air source heat pumps which provide hot water and heating. The scheme also achieved a code level 4 rating under the code for sustainable homes scheme.
MIAKODA BRIEF:
Produce concept design options for discussion with client; develop these in to more detailed draft scheme ideas before carrying out fully detailed planning application and submission. Once full planning was obtained we carried out the process of clearing all associated planning conditions followed by the production of fully detailed working drawings for building regulations and tender process. We also provided large scale detailing to aid construction and checking of specialist manufacturer’s details and overall project coordination.
