Miakoda Designs is a studio of Chartered Architectural Technologists. We design buildings, secure consents and produce the detailed technical information your contractor needs to build them properly. We do not contract or build, we draw, specify and coordinate, then stay involved while others do.
Design evaluation
We look to maximise density and unlock potential design improvements and cost efficiencies whilst still creating desirable layouts and places for modern living.
Detailed working drawings
Construction-issue drawings and specifications coordinated with structural, civil, fire, energy and M&E services consultants. The heart of what we do: production information of a standard that lets a developer and their contractors build the design we promised the client, without ambiguity.
Project administration
We act as lead consultant, coordinating with all appointed consultants, discharging planning conditions and proactively managing Building Regulations and warranty provider requirements to protect programme and margin.

We adopt an analytical approach to every commission, producing the best practical and aesthetically pleasing design appropriate to a client's needs and budget, while meeting the challenges of a sustainable future. Long-standing relationships with developers including Beechcroft, Rectory Homes, Deanfield Homes and CALA Homes sit alongside private commissions, each overseen personally by one of our Directors.
